I’m not sure what is greater: the fact that I’m having my first cup of Starbucks Christmas Blend, the fact that I get to have pizza for dinner tonight, or the fact that I’m currently ripping episodes of 24 from my dvd collection to my new video iPod. I guess it adds up to a pretty dang good birthday. I aquired my iPod last night with some cash I recieved for my birthday and today I get to spent some high-quality time loading it up with goodies and maybe going out to get an accessory or two. I was going to wait until after my actual birthday or maybe even Christmas, but I’ve been reading horrific news articles about how all the electronic retailers are concerned about being under-supplied with iPods, starting this Friday. So I thought I would go ahead and secure one now and be done with it. This thing is amazing….music, album artwork, photos, music videos, movies, tv….it does it all. That is, until Apple releases a wi-fi or internet-capable iPod. I decided to get myself a little warranty on this baby too, considering the price I paid for it and the tragic tales my friends have told me concerning their little pods.

Ok, so what else is going on? Well, I’m hoping to relax a bit today, but there is a little work to be done. My business cards should arrive this morning, so that will be cool. I plan on running up to Best Buy or something to get an FM transmitter of some kind. I really want a case to protect this thing, but the one I want won’t be released until next week and I’ll have to order it.

Tonight, I think Katy and I might try to put up the Christmas tree since we won’t have much time to do it later. I think I might want to pop in Home Alone while we’re doing it, just for some classic laughs. We’re going to order some pizza, which is exciting since I haven’t had Pizza Hut in quite a while (love that Pan Style crust).

Then tomorrow, it’s off to see the folks in Arlington, but more importantly, I will be watching the Cowboys try to get past the unbelievable Broncos. The Boys haven’t played very good the past couple of weeks, so I’m hoping this week the pendulum will swing the other way and they will be on target. I’ll be looking foward to some good Julius Jones action, deep Terry Glenn passes, Whitten first downs, and Roy Williams defense.

I’ve decided to postpone my special Thanksgiving post until Sunday due to forces beyond my control, but I would still urge you to tune in when you can, because it’s gonna be one heck of a post (not to bang my own drum or anything). Have a good weekend!
