Katy and I went out to Abilene this weekend for a wedding. A friend of mine and the daughter of my youth minister got married Saturday and that allowed me to see some old friends. It was a bit of a chore to make another road trip so soon after the holidays, but it was good to catch up with some good folks. We also got to go to Crosspoint again, which is always a good thing.
This is going to be a busy week for me. I’ve got several Pixelight projects going right now and I need to finish a good bit of work by Friday. Among those projects is a digital community website for our church. Right now, I’m calling it “The Exchange”. It’s basically a place where the members of Providence can come and talk about any number of things. There will be theology discussions, prayer requests, and even movie and book talk. There will also be a discussion room devoted to each Home Team, so that team leaders and members can communicate about missional ideas and projects. I’ve been working on this thing for a couple of months and it will be really cool to see it finally up and in action. When it goes live, I’ll post a link.
On tap for tomorrow: Apple will probably introduce some nifty new products at the Macworld Expo tomorrow morning. Among the possibilities are a smaller, cooler iPod Shuffle, a new media-center style Mac Mini, new software, and maybe new huge plasma displays. We’ll see!
