Things will be pretty busy this week, but probably not as busy as last week was. AB and I finished the first round of logos for Kevin Boyd’s church plant and got his website reserved (www.insidelifepoint.org). This week I have to come up with a first round of logos and branding for a pharmaceutical company so we can get started redesigning their website. I also have to do some logo/branding work for another company and do some design work for the great Jared Houze. Among these projects, I’d like to reorganize my stock photos and tweak my hard drive. Things are getting a little cluttered on my precious Mac and I’m noticing a bit of a lag. I’m also already wanting to redo the Pixelight site due to the poor programming of the current design. It needs to be more lightweight and have a better and updated portfolio.

We started a new sermon series at church, which is an expositive study on Galatians. Our pastor wrote his own original practicum for the series, which is basically a mix between a commentary and a curriculum. Bradshaw did an absolutely fabulous design for the book. I also got to do a print design for the woman’s Bible study curriculum. It’s a study on Romans and it’s called Without Excuse. We decided to keep the branding consistent with the Galations Practicum because we liked it so much. We’ll probably continue to keep this brand for future Bible study materials this year. Hopefully, I will be able to continue to help on design projects for the church, as long as it doesn’t interfere with Pixelight projects.

I also forgot to mention that a men’s Bible study launched last week and I’m going to do my best to attend consistently (it’s at 6:30 am!!). The study is taught by Barry and is focused on “Biblical Masculinity”, which is a majorĀ  core value for Barry and for the church. He really wants to raise up a generation of men that spiritually lead their homes and lead the church. I think this will definately be a good thing for me, as a (relatively) new husband and future father.

In other news, Katy and I are anxiously counting the days (11) until we will hopefully find out the sex of our little one. Neither of us have a “feeling” of what it is and we really don’t have a strong preference, but the rest of our families are placing their bets.

And let’s not forget about the fact that 24 is on tonight. The insanity has already begun and Jack is on the case. Gotta love it.

    Hey Chris,

Sounds like you’re pretty busy. Like the artwork on your latest entry - keep up the good work!
And we’ll be praying for the bible study effort - know its early but worth it.
