Americans will be safe from terrorists for another three years. At least on 24 they will be. The great Kiefer Sutherland has signed a contract for a cool $40 million to return as Jack Bauer for an additional three seasons. He’s also upgrading to executive producer and will get to develop his own production company. I don’t know how the show will be able to keep exceeding our expectations, but I’m sure they will continue to thrill their audiences.

In other 24 news, it looks like Jack will be hitting the big screen in ‘08. The wheels are in motion to produce a 24 movie, which will shoot in ‘07 and be released in ‘08. The real-time aspect will have to be compromised, though. Supposedly, the story will cover 24 hours, but time will have to lapse in order to fit a 2 hour movie. That will be one crazy thrill ride.

Heck YES!!! To imagine that there will be 8 days worth of the greatest show of the 21st century is truly amazing, especially after the crazy thrill ride of season 5.

I think we should apply to Guiness for most consecutive hours of 24. We could reserve a theater and have a little marathon.

That new movie with Michael Douglas and Sutherland looks awfully similar to a 24 episode.
