My, it has been a while hasn't it? Things have been moving along very quickly in the Merritt home these days. Weekly baby doctor visits, new work, baby room construction, and a bunch of other little things have been getting in the way of my precious blogging time. So, why not take this time to give everyone a little update? Baby News Bulletin: Katy is working 3 days a week from home now, so she can take it easy here for the last stretch of the pregnancy. Caelyn has been doing very well it seems. At our last sonogram a couple of weeks ago, our doctor told us she was about 5lbs 2oz, and growing very well. Caelyn's gotten herself breached though, and hasn't decided to turn as of yet, so there's a decent chance that we'll be going the c-section route in order to get her outta there. Before I begin, let me make the disclaimer that I am, in fact, aware that Tom Cruise has been a little off his rocker this past year. Katie Holmes, couch-bounding, Scientology preaching---whatever the media candy Cruise has provided us recently---Tom Cruise has been fearless regarding his public image. I don't think that's so bad either. I'd rather he be honest about who he is than not. The important thing for us, as moviegoers and consumers is to have the ability to compartmentalize all of that and just enjoy the movie. I know that I'm not going to enjoy a movie as much if I'm hung up on the actor's tabloid trail or political rants. I just want to watch the movie and have a good time. So, if you have trouble compartmentalizing Tom Cruise from Ethan Hunt (his character in MI3), then you probably won't enjoy this movie nearly as much as you should.
